Friends and colleagues,
We at Braun Kendrick have continued to carefully follow recent developments in relation to COVID-19, including Governor Whitmer’s issuance of Executive Order No. 2020-21 on March 23, 2020, entitled “Temporary requirement to suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect life.” Prior to the Governor’s Executive Order, we had already taken steps to keep the interests of our clients and employees protected, including careful sanitation, social distancing, and having reduced in-person staffing measures in place. In accordance with the directives of Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order, in-person staffing at our offices now consists only of those workers necessary to conduct minimum basic operations.
Attorneys and legal assistants are working from home to the fullest extent possible, while ensuring that we remain available to meet our clients’ needs. As before, we do not expect any disruption in service to our clients. You may still reach your contact here via email or phone, with our office phones having in many cases been forwarded directly to our cell phones. To be clear, attorneys and legal assistants working remotely have full access to our systems. Our information security systems ensure that our clients’ information will remain secure, even when we are working remotely.
We continue to monitor court updates and closures and will keep clients informed of actions that impact pending cases. If you would like information regarding any specific matter, please contact the attorney you are working with.
We wish you all good health and safety,
