Biography
Mr. Turner has extensive experience representing small, closely held corporations and other business entities, including limited liability companies and partnerships. His practice in this area includes negotiating and drafting buy-sell agreements, acquisition agreements, employment contracts, deferred compensation agreements, recapitalization and other capital restructuring and tax planning. He has experience in establishing private foundations and filing applications with the Internal Revenue Service for obtaining tax exempt status for such entities.
Mr. Turner also has an extensive estate planning practice which includes the drafting of complex estate planning documents as well as trust and estate administration. His tax practice encompasses both individual and business tax planning and compliance. He has represented taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service Appeals Office and has experience in drafting requests for Private Letter Rulings from the Internal Revenue Service. His employee benefits practice includes the design, implementation and continuing compliance of qualified retirement plans, cafeteria plans and other welfare benefit programs.
Mr. Turner is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Claims Court.
